In 2023 I was seeking volunteer opportunities, and fate enabled me to come across Sewa UK – a charity that channels “selfless service” to make true and meaningful impact across the world, in developing countries that need the support.

I started off as a Y4S intern, and now co-coordinate the team. This is because, since joining, my love, passion and respect for the charity has exponentially grown – to be surrounded by likeminded individuals all rooting for the same cause is refreshing!

The term “volunteer” is one that is often perceived as “optional”, or “only if I get the time”. But joining Sewa UK has redefined this mindset… I want to make the time.

The cherry on top was visiting the projects in person. Seeing the outcome of the investments is highly satisfying, and fuels my drive to continue working with Sewa UK.

Sewa UK is more than a charity, it’s a family, a purpose, a passion.
