Lake District 10 Peak Challenge July 2019 |
We completed this event and it was an amazing day with some tough conditions. Six people completed the challenge – for some this was their first time (Balwant Mistry – Rugby and Pupesh Mistry Northampton), as well as regulars, Satish Shah, Navin Mistry, Naresh Chauhan and Vijay Gupta. A couple of people retired enroute, and we also had support from our driver, Ashwin Mistry, who also completed 4 peaks. This has become an annual event, so look out for future events! Our challenge last year on 8th July 2018 was successful. Weather was absolutely fantastic and we could see all the distant mountains. It was a wonderful weekend with the beauty of the Lake District in full bloom. Five participants completed the challenge in times between 12.56 hours and 13.36 hours. Two completed 6 peaks only because they were the volunteer drivers. One managed 5 peaks, Three completed 3 peaks. We hope you will join us this year on our 5th running of this event. This year, we welcome walkers who only want to walk 5 or 6 peaks. This means we will avoid some of the peaks, but will still finish in the same location. Both of the walks will be with support guides. |
